Beginning around January 1900, a criminal gold mining ring took shape in the U.S. At its helm? Alexander McKenzie, a former Sheriff with powerful connections across the country. Through legal loopholes, favors, promises, and even bribes, McKenzie managed to take complete control of Cape Nome, Alaska during the 1900 gold mining season. However, after several weeks of unfair treatment, the miners in Nome decided to fight back.
