As the decade comes to a close the masses around the world continue their revolutions and demonstrations. The Chilean government compromises to the demands of protestors as a new constitution will be voted on. Lebanon celebrates as demonstrations force their Prime Minister to resign. Still, demonstrators face injury or death as hundreds in Iraq are continually shot in the streets. Police and student demonstrators in Hong Kong continue to clash as universities are besieged, turning academic centers into warzones. Political unrest mounts in Bolivia as Evo Morales resigns from the presidency under pressure from the military, he is now in Mexico under self-imposed exile. Warnings of a coup may be in play as far-right Christian fundamentalists seize power and attack indigenous citizens. Concerns over Bolivia lithium reserves highlight that this may be the work of corporatist and imperialist policies. The world continues to burn as a state of emergency is declared over devastating fires in Australia.

Revolution is in the air as demonstrations continue in Lebanon, Ecuador, and Iraq. Chile is on the verge of revolution after being in a state of emergency for almost a week with 18 dead. Continued protests from Hong Kong starts to affect American entertainment as the NBA and LeBron James faces backlash for appeasing the Chinese Communist Party. Also with the Dreamworks production Abominable depicting the nine dashes in the South China Sea. California burns due to high winds and heat, facing blackouts and a deteriorating economic situation that could be one of the first places to experience a collapse in the United States. 

A wave of protests has taken hold around the world. People have taken to the streets to speak out against corruption and economic disparity. Kurdish Fighters in Northern Syria face extermination as President Trump betrays YPG fighters to appease Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Greta Thunberg's climate strike inspires millions as the largest climate protests in history unfolded from Sep 20 - 27th.
