Collected Possibilities is taking a Summer Break, and before our hiatus host JASON HEAT explains why and says "see you in a bit."
COLLECTED POSSIBILITIES
Illness has struck again, which means it's time for a new assortment of Interludes - hidden gems and deleted scenes from past episodes stored away to deliver big for just this moment! This week's collection is a series of entertaining anecdotes grouped together largely by one of my favorite rhetorical devices - alliteration. So much like an Episode of Sesame Street, today's episode is brought to by the letter P - for Power Rangers, Pandas, and Presidents!
Enjoy these untold tales of past possibilities, and assuming Jason & his colon are on speaking terms next week, look forward to a new adventure then!

This week we're adding a new state and a new genre of attractions to the books in one fell swoop, with a trip to the New Jersey Renaissance Festival! BRITTANY TRUSKE returns as we enter a real life Choose Your Adventure book across an Arthurian backdrop; featuring themed performances, vendors, activities, and more!
We debate whether to cosplay or not to cosplay, discuss the importance of ambiance and immersion to a successfuk Renn Faire Experience, cuddle with cows, sling bows, throw ninja stars, and drink Mead. Hear about a duck named Winston, the best costumes, and the dearth of interesting faire food.
Is the New Jersey Renaissance Faire something you have to do before you die? Listen and find out!
CELESTE
This episode is dedicated in loving memory to Brittany's niece Celeste Perry, who tragically passed several weeks ago.
Celeste was smart, filled with personality and attitude, and had a wonderfully dark sense of humor at a young age. She was a little girl who loved cats, unicorns, paw patrol, and had just developed a fascination for the Super Mario Brothers. She was also very strong, very brave, and determined to communicate and connect. When illness took her ability to speak, she fought and found a way to do so despite the complications. Celeste unfortunately suffered from Reducing Body Myopathy, an incredibly rare genetic condition that causes a breakdown of the muscular system.
RBM is such a rare & little known disease that it doesn't have a significant level of public awareness or spokesperson to lead research fundraising. Contributions towards research are essential to finding a cure, and if you're able to donate, you can do so here: https://curerbm.org/donate

Welcome to another Friday Edition of Collected Possibilities, an Existential Explorer's guide into the human heart and mind, where somehow every week we manage to convince an amazing assortment of interesting people to get very personal very quickly by asking them the Existential Question of The Week.
This episode we're trying to desperately turn back the clock on graying hair, creaky bones, and abandoned dreams. We are chasing youth, baby, through a medium that deeply most inspires memories - songs. Our panel this week includes a Roller Derbist, a Women's Wrestling Champion, a Space Lawyer, and more, all heaping up a healthy dose of musical nostalgia as they answer the question - "What Song Makes You Feel Young?" Along the way we uncover crushes on Canadian Pop Icons, sing a requiem for the toy store, and go see Blink 182 in the year 2023.
FEATURING
BRITTANY TRUSKE returns to the show for a visit to Washington DC and a pilgrimage to spend some time with the Priestess of Polka Dots. We're heading to One With Eternity: Yayoi Kusama in the Hirshhorn Collection to visit the real Great Pumpkin, enter Infinity Mirror Rooms, and spend some time in a very Phallic Mushroom Kingdom. It's a deep dive into the work of one of the world's most famous artists, but can the exhibit live up to all the instagram hype?
We attempt to forget ourselves and become one with oblivion. Along the way we debate what's scarier - death or eternity? Jason shares his experience with sleep deprived hallucinations, we pay tribute to the Polka Dot Prince of Pro Wrestling Dusty Rhodes, find more reasons to never put off trying something new, and do admire a truly stunning pumpkin.

Welcome to the very first Friday edition of Collected Possibilities, focused on our Existential Question of the Week!
This week's focus is sauces, spreads, toppings, and the like - the added & enhanced flavor experience only a condiment can provide. There are so many different options out there and only a few are so ubiquitous that you can find them in nearly ever US restaurant or home regardless of culture, price point, or style of cuisine. We know our Main Eventers, our Mount Rushmore, dominated by familar named like Ketchup, Mustard, Mayonaise, and BBQ Sauce. That leaves incredible ingredients as relative unknowns to large swathes of people. So lets open our eyes, and mouths, to the possibilities by asking - "What is The Most Under Rated Condiment?"
Along the way try not to get caught in the Honey Mustard hate, ruminate on the essence of "zing," and confront our underlying fear of fruit spreads. Be a fly on the wall at Geek Brunch, and learn which condiment is the only one to be picked twice by our esteemed panel of experts!

Let's get ready to fly! Today we travel to Hagerstown, MD to test our bounce endurance at Sky Zone Trampoline Park.
We're joined by a man with far more trampoline experience than expected - comedian, podcaster, retired wrestler, and Jason's commentary partner at the World Domination Wrestling Alliance, TRAVIS DuFOUR! Travis talks about his time backyard wrestling on the trampoline and how it prepared him for this very moment. We get into his transition from Wrestling to Stand Up Comedy, how he has addressed a family history of alcoholism, and how his father's struggles both taught & inspired him. We bond over Disney Deaths as first memories, get caught in the quicksand like Foam Zone, and learn that trampolines are... a lot.

It's not often you get to experience something with someone for the first time, and that's what makes this episode special. "The Exile" ZAKAR SHAH was born in Iran where bowling was... not as essential to the childhood experience as it is in the states. He rolled one frame in his early teens before being bowling shamed by his brother, and has never returned to an alley since. We're redressing that childhood wrong right here, right now as we head to Northside Lanes in Winchester, VA for his first full game & our first round of Cosmic Bowling in show history.
We discuss the difference between having fun in Iran vs. America and what that reveals about both countries. He shares the story of his multi-year journey of getting from Iran to US, what it's like coming somewhere you don't think you're wanted, and how Professional Wrestling is his personal American Dream.
Plus JACOB CUNNINGHAM answers the Existential Question of the Week: Do you believe in Good & Evil?

The Smithsonian's National Zoo, located in the heart of Washington DC, is home to more than 2,100 animals, representing almost 400 different species, including some of the planet's most critically endangered species. Their goal is to "instill a lifelong commitment to conservation through engaging experiences with animals and the people working to save them." But even under these most worthwhile of intentions, the essential conflict of animal attractions remains - is it ever truly ethical to attend the zoo as a consumer?
Here to unpack this thorny quandry, and to look at all the cute critters, is theater professional CAITLYN FITZGERALD! We talk about her living with Lupus, the necessity of being your own advocate in the medical system, and how a woman's pain still isn't taken as seriously as a man's. She explains spoon theory as someone living with a chronic condition, and tells her story of losing the ability to drive due for nearly a year due to mysterious blackouts. And of course we have animals galore - from her obsession with Elephants, her recovery from childhood turkey attack trauma, and a Tiger vs. Duck showdown that provided the most stressful Zoo moments we've ever experienced.
Plus Collected Possibilities Co-Founder DAVID PRATT celebrates an important birthday and answers the Existential Question of the Week: Where do bad folks go when they die?
