  • CABC-2015-10-25: "Who Is My Neighbor? Attitudes Toward Race"
    Luke 10:25-37
Who Is My Neighbor?  Attitudes Toward Race
A disciple resists ethnic and social stereotyping and places no limits on whom he or she must love as a neighbor.

SERIES:  Zigzag With Jesus (Who Is NOT boring!)
Jesus is the most famous and influential person in all of human history.  No army, nation, or person has changed the story of history like Jesus. Yet, Jesus’ life is rather simple – He never travelled far from home.  He never married or had sex.  He never holds an office or leads an army. He never owns much stuff – in fact, He dies poor and homeless.  Jesus says that His kingdom is “not of this world.” Around the age of 30, Jesus starts preaching, telling stories, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and befriending social outcasts such as lepers, hookers, and crooks.  He gathers disciples from all kinds of different backgrounds. Following Jesus as His disciple is not a straight line journey; it is more of a zigzag, and it is not boring or lame.  You are invited to join Jesus on his zigzag (not boring) journey from Galilee to Jerusalem (Luke 9:51-19:44) as Dr. Luke answers the question:  How does a disciple of Jesus live?
