Week 1 of the college football season is finally in the books (it's okay to cry, Florida State fans) and the first midseason version of the AP college football poll is finally out.

Caroline Fenton, Jason Fitz & Adam Breneman react to this early-season poll and chat about which teams are ranked too high, too low or just about right. Were the Michigan Wolverines' and Oregon Ducks' wins a bit too close for comfort? Are we sleeping on Penn State? Can USC prove that they can be the cream of the Big Ten?

Later in the show, the trio raise a glass to Marcus Freeman's Notre Dame team, and pour one out for Brian Kelly's LSU team and Deion Sanders' Buffaloes team.

Week 1 of the 2024 college football season continued on Saturday night aas USC defeated LSU 27-20 in the dying minutes of Vegas Kickoff Classic. Both teams debuted new QBs in USC’s Miller Moss and LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier, as well as shiny new defenses.

It was a back and forth game throughout the full 60 minutes, but the Trojans got the upper hand with a game-winning TD scored in the final seconds. How will LSU fans feel about another 0-1 start? Is Brian Kelly already on the hot seat? Is Lincoln Riley’s upgraded Trojans defense ready to exorcise the demons from 2023's campaign? Week 1 of the 2024 college football season is (mostly) in the books and things are looking great for Georgia, Notre Dame and Miami, while the season is already off to a rocky start for Clemson & Florida.

Caroline Fenton, Jason Fitz & Adam Breneman kick off this Week 1 edition of the College Football Power Hour with reactions to all the big games from Saturday. Notre Dame and Riley Leonard had a big win on the road in College Station over the Texas A&M Aggies. Clemson got boat raced by yet another elite Kirby Smart Georgia Bulldogs team. Meanwhile in Gainesville, Cam Ward and the Miami Hurricanes made Billy Napier's Gators squad look lifeless in what looks to be a long season for Florida.

The squad also shares their stock report with a stock up on Penn State, a surprising stock down on an Iowa team that put up 40 points on Illinois State and praise for Vanderbilt after a rare statement win.
