In this week's episode we begin to explore what is said about our calling in Genesis 1-2. We will talk a bit about Super Bowl commercials, throw in a few farming shoutouts, and share a bit of what the class had to say about our calling in life.
In this week's episode we continue our conversation from last week by looking more into what it means to say we are created in the image of God. We will talk about fun house mirrors, create new a new Bible character on accident, and get a taste of Wilson's lack of knowledge of cars. If you listen close you might even be able to hear a train whistle as a bonus!
In this episode we take a look another significant part of Genesis 1-2. We focus in on the place of humanity within the created order and what that means for you and me. There is also a shoutout to Leonardo DiCaprio, a few reflections on repairing houses, and some unexpected humor as per usual. There is also a reference to flames, so I guess you could say that this episode is fire!
In this episode we finish up what we started last week by looking at the nature of God in Genesis 1-2. We will talk a bit about verbs, consider a few images of God that might surprise us, and we will talk about how a momma can care for you and take you out.
Consider yourself warned.
In this episode we begin a two-part podcast by naming one of the most important questions you can ask when reading Scripture, we get a tour of Wilson's house, and we address what you should do when you think God might hate someone. We also spend time reading Genesis 1 and sharing some class reflections on the nature of God.
In this podcast we keep it simple. We are going to read Genesis 1-2 as one big text so we can hear the passage as a whole. My voice is not as good as Morgan Freeman, but hopefully you will enjoy the reading. We will also share a few things that people talked about in class when they heard this passage read as a whole.
This week we kick off our new series Original: Becoming Who You've Always Been. In this episode we read a Scripture, tell a story, give Batman & Joker a shout out, I try to avoid giving this podcast an explicit rating, and we discuss where we are headed in this series. Also, my voice does not crack in this one.
This week we get things started with a welcome to this new GPS podcast experiment. If you want to know what we hope to try with this podcast, then please give is a listen. If you want to hear my voice unexpectedly crack, then this episode is for you!
