Brian McBrayer will be preaching tonight, Lord willing. Brian and Rachel are our teen ministry leaders and are doing a wonderful job encouraging the teens to walk with the Lord. They have an obvious burden that the teens understand how to learn the Bible for themselves and grow in their spiritual walk. Brian will continue his series in Hebrews.

How bad is it when a doctor is sick with a common illness, but he doesn't know the remedy- Nicodemus came to Jesus to ask Him questions about His ministry. Jesus turned the conversation to question Nicodemus about his salvation. The questions He asked puzzled Nicodemus so much that Jesus wondered how he could be a teacher and not know about such an important doctrine.

Missionary Tim Melton is home on furlough and will be updating us on his ministry to Japan. The Meltons have been missionaries to Japan for many years -Tim's parents were missionaries there as well- and we have been supporting them a long time. Come back tonight to hear his missions update.

Any hope for Saul's monarchy died when he determined to become a king like all of the kings of Canaan. His half-hearted obedience and arrogance in victory confirmed that his descendants would not be kings in Israel. Yet Samuel's response to Saul's sin is a splendid example of how we should react when confronting the sin of others around us.

Proverbs opens with a large section - chapters 1-9 0 which emphasizes the value of wisdom. One of the reasons that Solomon uses to illustrate the importance of wisdom is that through wisdom a home is blessed by God. Every Christian wants his family to be blessed by God and wisdom is the key to that blessing.

The story of Saul's monarchy is one of the great sadness as he continually turned away from the Lord. Samuel's ministry to him was consistent in encouraging him to come back to God, but Saul would not listen. Today's message focuses on the circumstances of Saul's crisis with the Phillistines and his response to the problem.

Morning Worship, 10-30 am--Nothing causes inaction like confusion. When someone is confused, it is hard to get him moving in the right direction. The disciples did not understand exactly Who Jesus was even though He told them over and over again. Many Christians today, though trusting in Jesus for salvation, are still unclear about Jesus.
