Evening Fellowship, 5-30 pm--The final word on the church is the glory of God. God's glory should be the motive, the goal, and the pursuit of all church life. Worldliness is one of the biggest struggles in today's church. Christians willingly adopt worldly practices and lifestyles and encourage others to join them. Unfortunately, worldliness has grave consequences. Today's message examines one of the results of worldliness by examining the inauguration of King Saul in Israel.

The world is in spiritual darkness heavily influenced by Satan. The solutions for that crisis is gospel hope, the only power that brings light and life. This is chapter 16 in our series I Love the Church. The command of Jesus to His disciples is to take this gospel light to the darkest corners of the earth. Tonight's message not only emphasizes this important truth, but provides a few practical tips on how we can successfully support reaching the lost. Sometimes obedience is easy- the task at hand is not difficult and is easily accomplished. Other times, obedience is hard. It is the hard times that determine our commitment to obeying God's commands. The text in 1 Samuel 9 examines Samuel's response to God's command to anoint a new king over Israel.

Life is made up of choices. Most of these choices are simple- which toothpaste to buy- which shirt to put on. Some choice are life-changing. Every choice has some importance, but life-changing choices are crucial. God has a plan for our lives and His will must be the most important part of our decisions.
