Churches were established to be self-perpetuating. There should always be a mix of mature and immature believers -and maybe a few unsaved, seeking people- in a church. Jesus told His disciples to make more disciples. This process of discipleship is key to the future of College Park. Tonight's focus is on this pattern of discipleship from Paul's epistle to Titus. The story of Judas Iscariot is one of the saddest tales in the Bible. He was called by Jesus to be a disciple and he followed the Lord throughout His earthly ministry. Unfortunately, Judas did not trust in Jesus as his personal Savior. He wanted political and national salvation, but he ignored his own soul. Judas was a microcosm of the whole nation- Israel rejected Jesus as Messiah and this rejection was prophesied in the Old Testament. Today's sermon- Will You Reject the Shepherd- -Zechariah 11-4-14-

The entry of Jesus into Jerusalem is often preached around the time of Easter because of the significance of the event relative to our Lord's crucifixion. God expects Christians to be godly. Of course, not all believers are. It is a disappointing truth that many believers are not becoming more godly as they age.
