People today are very wary of anything new. Our society does not trust other people. Major businesses suffer from this loss of trust- corporations have squandered their good name with the public just trying to make a little more money. Politicians and the media are also distrusted. People wonder if there is anything left that can be trusted at all. That's the theme of today's sermon- You Can Trust the Good News -1 Corinthians 15-1-11-.

Luke's Gospel ends with Jesus ascending to heaven. However, this is not the end of the story, it is only a turn of the page. Chapter 2 of the great story is about to begin. The dawn of the church age is just cresting the horizon. The incredible task of evangelizing the world is about to commence. Tonight's sermon- Chapter 2 -Luke 24-50-53-.

The great problem of mankind is that he is estranged from God because of sin. God is holy and cannot tolerate sinfulness. Man is basically sinful and cannot live a holy life. This is the problem. While man has made various attempts to solve this problem, they have all come up short. God's solution is Jesus Christ. Today's sermon- How God Reconciles Sinful Man to Himself -2 Cor. 5-21-.

Though Job did not sin when he first encountered suffering, he grew frustrated and raised doubtful questions as he dialoged with his accusatory friends. We will continue our study on the Book of Job and learn more lessons from Job's response to his suffering.

Suffering is part of life. Ever since the fall of Adam, no one has escaped its sting, and no one will until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the face of excruciating suffering, we can easily become fearful. Yet, God has never meant his people to live in the fear of suffering and has given us the precious Book of Job. Who can be a better teacher than Job in the school of suffering-
