As Christians, we have an enormous task of evangelizing the world. This does not mean that every person will come to Christ, but it does mean that we have a divine obligation to tell everyone the good news that Jesus saves. Thinking the enormity of this task, it is easy to become overwhelmed. We don't have to feel that way. In fact, God has provided us the ability to do what He has commanded us to do. One of the deadliest thoughts a Christian can think is that it is okay to sin. Just because God has forgiven our sins does not give us license to sin without any fear of incurring God's anger against sin. Among all of the attributes of God, the one that our society challenges the most is God's justice. Man holds up God against his own self-righteous morality and finds God wanting. Rationalists think that the only way to discover facts is through reason, the application of the mind. Because of this, science has been elevated to almost divine revelation status. Many people -even some Christians- think that unless something is scientific, it cannot be right. Our text today looks at facts from God's standpoint. Critics of Christianity question nearly every aspect of our faith. They undermine the first eleven chapters of Genesis by questioning Creation and the Flood. They also pick at the life of Jesus arguing that nothing Jesus did was real - except His death. Nearly every critic agrees that Jesus died on the cross. This is an incredible admission.
