What does it really mean to be Christian? In the grand scope of things, we are not very different compared to the general human condition we all live under. We are still broken people in search of something to fulfill our needs and our lives may not be terribly unique. But one thing we do have is a God who knows our every need and is able to fulfill them. We just need to learn how to let him. 

Have you ever felt betrayed and beaten down by life? When we feel like life has been hard to us, there might be a bigger plan that God has for us. Listen in as Pastor Del reminds us that just like with Joseph, God tends to turn enemies and trial into long-term blessings.

When it comes to following Jesus, what is your why? We often follow God on the basis of His gifts, and yet He is asking us, "if I take the goodness of the world from you, would we still be friends?" Join us as Pastor Del reminds us to remember that we live in this world to love and to be loved.

Grace is the pinnacle of the gospel 

By grace we are saved, but to work out our salvation requires us to constantly apply grace to our lives. This is what the Galatians forgot when they began to revert back to the Law and many of us do the same thing. Let us get back to the gospel of grace and tune into Pastor Del's teaching on Galatians. 

When we begin to believe in Jesus and live for him, we think that everything else will naturally change. However, sometimes it requires more than just learning how to walk with God. But needing to unlearn parts of our past that keep us from being able to walk in the fullness of God’s love; his covenant with us.

Paul addresses the Galatians with a word on empowering grace, in that He has given us a grace at covers a multitude of sins. The Judaizers might have insisted on a gospel of works, but we know that our salvation is given by grace alone. As we start a new sermon series on the book of Galatians, we look at how Paul addressed the Galatians as their theology began to go astray after initially receiving the gospel. Deconstructing one's faith isn't bad, but it can often be painful because of the lies we have accepted as truth. Let's dive in together with this week's word.

How's your heart doing today? As believers, our hearts are under attack from our thoughts or feelings; we need to check and guard our hearts at all times. We often attempt to perform by living in a constant state of busyness in the hopes that we could earn our place in heaven. The pursuit of happiness; the most common driving force in people's lives. Happiness sounds and feels good, but is only a temporary version of the Joy that we are to have as Christians. However, in order to live in Joy, we need to learn not to run away from pain.

The story of Lazarus displays God's power to resurrect dead things, perhaps our disappointments, despite our unbelief. We may hope for a blessing, but He will delay or even deny it so that we may know who to rely on in a hard season.
