Today we are joined by Mariela Andersen, a fellow Colombian adoptee. She has been in reunion with her bio family since the age of 22. During this process, she kept a journal, which later she published into a book titled "Home Sweet Casa."
Since then, she has gone to visit family in Colombia many times, and over the course of 9 years, her relationships have evolved. We discuss boundaries with bio family, how reunion can help you discover yourself, and the overall journey of how being an adoptee effects your whole life.
You can find Mariela's memoir on our Bookshop.org profile in the "Authors We Know and Love" list: https://bookshop.org/shop/colombianinfluence
