Our worship harkens back to a time when people needed desperately to hear words of comfort, challenge, and good news. This Advent in our worship, God's Spirit will shine in these dark days and bring more light into the world. Mark 1:1-15

Rev. Kayla Bonewell (Cathedral of Hope and Church of the Open Arms in Oklahoma City) is a prophetic and powerful voice for justice. She brings a word from God from the Prophet Jeremiah. Jeremiah saw the end of the last Jewish kingdom but he also foresaw a new beginning. In the end is always a new beginning. There is always hope.

The Christmas season is just around the corner. It's a strange year, and Christmas is going to be different. But, we have a special gift for you this Sunday. We're giving away money, and it's going to be great. You're not going to want to miss this!

Colonial Church was founded by veterans returning from the most terrible war in human history. This Sunday we will hear from Dorothy Mulford, our church community's last surviving WWII veteran and charter member.

It is a message of hope for healing the divisions of our current time as we continue our mission for compassion, justice, and mercy.

What a year. All of us are feeling a sense of loss. It is healthy and right to acknowledge that in spirit and in truth, and on this All Saints Day we will do that together as we remember. As we remember though, we do so with a hope that is greater than any loss. We remember that Light and Love will always be God's final word to us.

What Comes Next? We celebrate the first baptism in our church community since the pandemic began. It is the baptism of a girl who will grow empowered to change the world, and we're going to hear the story of Hannah, a woman whose faith did change the world and helped usher in a golden age.

This is a Sunday of hope. So, if you need a little hope these days, let's worship!

It's a mystery.

Can a person actually change God?

Or, has God ordained all things since the foundation of the universe?

Our spiritual ancestors explored this mystery, and we will join them as we worship this Sunday.
