Color Correction

We take a moment to talk about how Kris's conversation with his dad about racist Facebook posts went, talk a little about President Trump, and also talk a little about how we feel about the past few episodes.

Kris is on vacation so we sit down with our friends Matt and Maria, social workers in the supportive housing field, to talk about opioids, the war on drugs, and the current overdose crisis and whether or not it's just a white people problem. Also, we talk about harm reduction and why it feels "Jesusy."

We talk about seeing (or not seeing) ourselves in books, movies, and TV shows, the white savior trope, and also different ways of seeing Jesus.

In this episode, we talk about what to do when racism makes a surprise appearance in our Facebook feeds and in our real lives, and talk about how to have hard conversations with friends and family members.

In the second episode of our podcast about race and religion, we talk about reparations, divine justice, the church's relationship to politics, and some stuff we're into this week.

In our premiere episode, we talk about the term "Person of Color," when and whether it's OK to use.

Special thanks to Jared Selby for letting us use his track "Right Now" (https://soundcloud.com/slowswitch) and to Luke Bartolomeo our communications manager.
