  • Where The Wind Rages On Our Anxieties...
    Episode 140 (09/08/21): Each breath is a fragile gift… yet so much of my time is spent fantasizing about the future that does not exist. When anxieties run wild, and emotions and expectations fail us, a sobering reality looms over us...
    On the day that we breathe our last, nothing else will matter but Jesus.
    Heavy heart, what we begin in the soil of our surrender, our God is faithful to grow…

  • ...fade.
    Episode 138 (08/25/21): I recently had a dream, where the most beautiful of skies turned into a sky full of fire and terror.
    I don’t know why that as quick as a snap of a finger, we can go from being FULL of hope, joy, purpose, identity, confidence and strength... to EVERY color in our life fading, failing, and morphing into confusion, pain, and at times complete terror.
    Regardless if we find ourselves on the sands of Afghanistan, the hills of California, or bedridden in sickness;
    When our mental health fails…
    When our emotions complicate…
    When our logic flees…
    When we find ourselves abandoned in a strange land;
    WHAT can we cling to when clichés and crutches no longer hold us together…?
    Heavy heart, when these chaos comes, this is not the end.
    THIS IS NOT THE END!

  • Lessons in The Divine Curriculum of Depression, Grace, & Faith (Feat. Dr. Terry Powell)
    Episode 134 (06/16/21):
    Heavy heart, depression will NOT have the final word.
    The influence of Dr. Terry Powell in my life can not be stressed enough. I met Dr. Powell during my years of undergrad at Columbia International University, and I can say with confidence that he's had one of the biggest impacts not only in my life as a follower of Christ, and a lover of people, but has also impacted countless others through his 38+ years of faithfully pointing others to Christ despite his open battle with major clinical depression that he has known since childhood. Dr. Powell describes himself as "a fragile, desperate, bloodied soldier of Christ who marches with a limp”, and this statement truly is an understatement….
    This episode is for all who recognize that they are weak, yet still cries out for more. Honestly, this episode is for everyone…
    every… single… person.
    Dr. Powell, your ongoing journey in vulnerability, compassion, and hunger for knowing Jesus more encourages and influences my own journey in more ways than I can express. To those who will watch or listen to this episode, may this conversation minister to you regardless of where today finds you.
    Heavy heart, you are not forgotten ...
    … There is a Life that outlasts the lies.

    Episode 133 (06/09/21):
    "So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.”
    - Jesus (John 8:36)
    Quotes such as this sounds nice, but where is freedom in the constant moments where our brokenness finds us day after day? On today’s episode, join us as we continue from Epsiode 132 and ask ourselves, what does it mean to be a child of the God of the Universe?
    At the end of the day, Jesus, there is no one that wants to make things right more than You...
    May we, Your children, experience the Freedom that we long and thirst for.

    When we don’t know what’s going on…
    When our emotions and thoughts are deceptive…
    When our senses fail us…
    When we feel at the end of our rope…
    All feelings are valid, yet feelings are temporary.
