Title: "The Last Days of the Last Days"

Theme: in Matt. 24-25 Jesus speaks of future things; I have decided to take a week or two (or three -grin) and give an overview of end times teachings, then look at the actual details of Jesus red letter words in chapters 24-25 picking up where we left off which was at 24:15.

This week we will do a Scriptural study of what the Bible refers to as "The Last Days", next week "the Second Coming" in all of it's multi-facets.

This week:

Text: Matt. 24, selected Scriptures

Title "Jesus IS Coming Again"

Theme: After three weeks away from our series on eschatology, I really felt the need to emphasize the main point again "Jesus is coming back". It is so easy to get caught up in life and have our awareness of this truth "dulled" (it happened to me...) and Satan of course loves that cause then we do not live with kingdom urgency.

My intention is to do this through the volume of Scripture that speaks to the issue.

My hope is we will leave being completely convinced, fully persuaded that Jesus is coming back; and that we will live daily life with that truth in mind. (Oh that it would make a difference...)

Title: "Signs of the Times"

Theme: Jesus gives further signs/characteristics of the last days;

-along with false Messiahs and religious deception, wars and threats of wars, famine, pestilence, and earthquakes, Jesus now lists persecution of believers to the list of end time phenomena

-we will examine thees verses and make a few hopefully relevant comments (grin)

Text: Matt. 24:4-8 (moving right along :-)

Title: "Jesus Tells of Future Things"

-Sub Title: "Jesus Begins to Answer the Disciples Questions"

Theme: Jesus' initial response to their questions is a stern warning/admonition applicable throughout the period know as the last days/end times -- therefore applicable to us today

Text: Matt. 24:1-8

Title: Jesus Tells of Future Things

Theme: I fully expected to get into the heart of eschatology, however I sense there is something God wants to deal with first. It stems from the disciples first question and the way in which Jesus answers their question. God again wants to teach us something about the way we think..."let God change you by changing the way you think..."

I am hoping to make relevant application to our lives today. 

Also, fully expecting to delve into end time details next week

-This week we will cover general information related to the topic and give a working outline of chapters 24-25

-Main point "the intention in eschatology is more than informing of future events, it is to strengthen believers to remain faithful in the waiting...
