Sargeant Jason Steiner USMC 96-2000 96-98 amphibious assault vehicle driver 98-2000 primary marksmanship instructor camp Del Mar camp Pendleton CA. 2019 I was a founding member of the Nebraska Warriors Hockey Program. A program setup by USA hockey for disabled veterans to use adaptive sports as a outlet for PTSD and anxiety. 2022 put together a event called Vetstock. It was a one night event for veterans to just hangout with like minded people. As the event was starting I realized we could showcase the local veteran nonprofits and give them the stage to talk about their programs. After a very successful event hosting around 100 veterans and families. I was asked multiple time to create a yearly event. As we formed the new board the name was changed to HEROSTOCK. We then included first responders and gold star families as well as veterans and their families. The event offers a cornhole game with prizes, 2 food truck, a silent auction, a gun raffle, 4 bands and a ton of laughs and hugs all this and it's 100% free(besides booze and food) this event is a great place to network person to person, nonprofit to nonprofit, and person to nonprofit. This is a 501c3 organization with plans for growth every year to help as many veterans first responders and gold star families and organizations as possible.

Chief Mike de Leon is a Navy “brat” born in San Diego, Ca. and had two brothers and 1 nephew in the Navy. Not to mention his late father, Roger de Leon, a retired submariner. He enlisted in the Navy in March 1993 as an undesignated Seaman Recruit (E1 paygrade), worked his way up the ranks to Petty Officer 3rd Class (E4) on USS Stout DDG 55 in Norfolk, Virginia until 1998, cross-rated to AO (Aviation Ordnance) and worked for Fallbrook Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach Detachment in California, then cross-rated again in 1999 to Sonar Technician where he later served on USS Barry DDG 52 in Portsmouth, Virginia from 1999-2006, made the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class (E5), transferred to San Diego, Ca. as a Sonar instructor from 2006-2008. He was stationed overseas for his next duty station onboard USS Paul Hamilton DDG 60 in Pearl Harbor where he move up to the aspiring rank of Petty Officer 1st Class (E6) in Hawaii from 2008-2011 and then served as an Oceanography Instructor teaching underwater terrain mapping and weapons handling at Center for Surface Combat Systems Command Detachment Pearl Harbor from 2011-2014. He was advanced immediately to the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E7) which sent him to his final duty station onboard USS Antietam CG 54 as 1 of 1 ASW Specialist where he later retired in Yokosuka, Japan on October 1st, 2016 with an Honorable Discharge.
