Come Follow Me 2022 Old Testament
Naaman was asked by the prophet Elisha to go and bathe in the river Jordan seven times in order to be cleansed from his leprosy. To me (and apparently to Naaman also), this seemed kinda strange and arbitrary. Sometimes God gives us commandments that are morally grounded - don’t cheat, lie, or murder. Other times, He may give us other commandments that are not connected to being a good person at all. What is the point of these kinds of commandments? Are they just as important as the morally-based commandments?
