He also briefly discusses how to understand Isaiah 52 in light of Isaiah 47. Then he and Dr. Daniel Belnap discuss how Isaiah 52 draws on both Exodus and Babylon imagery as well as traveling in the wilderness imagery. Rabbi Grover shares his experiences about learning of LDS suffering and the affect it had on him. Then Dr. John Howell and Kerry look at Isaiah 54 and how it teaches us of God's hesed for us. They see the way it follows and interacts with Isaiah 53. They also look at how the Book of Mormon helps us understand it, especially the time markers in the text. We will do hands on work together, focusing on helping you develop the skills to really get more out of Isaiah, both as we study it this year, and throughout your life.
