As I have pondered on this scripture this week, the question that keeps coming to my mind is, why are we here on Earth? Think about that question for yourself, why are you here? You may be thinking how silly that question is, because we all know that we are here to return home to our Father in Heaven to live with Him in eternal glory in the celestial kingdom. But there is a huge difference between knowing something and doing something. Take a few moments and evaluate your actions, are they focused on and aligned with that celestial mission or are they more focused on and aligned with improving our life and status here in this life.

This week in our video and podcast we will go over the rest of King Benjamin’s words. As King Benjamin is speaking the people are overcome by his words and are filled with joy as they repent and receive a remission of their sins. He goes on to teach them about the goodness of God and also teaches them how to RETAIN a remission of their sins.

This week in our video and podcast we are going to discuss some characteristics that make King Benjamin so great. We are then going to go over the three main topics that he teaches service, gratitude, and keeping the commandments.

My soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker - Enos 1:4 - Come, Follow Me Ponderize

Each of the prophets and holy men and women in the scriptures highlight different aspects of our journey to come unto Christ. I love Enos, because he is a role model of putting mighty faith into mighty action “that it reached the heavens.” Even the Lord told Enos, in verse 8, that it was "Because of thy faith in Christ."

This ponderize scripture serves as a formula for those seeking further light and knowledge.

This week in our video and podcast we cover four books. Starting with The book of Enos we learn that God never forgets or breaks His promises. Then with the book of Jarom we learn the importance of keeping the commandments if we want to be protected. In the book of Omni we learn why records are so important. Lastly in the Words of a Mormon we learn about the small and large plates of Nephi and from this we learn that the Lord is so wonderful and prepares the way for us.

My friends, I hope that you can enjoy the simplicity of this scripture and yet the power that it teaches. First, it asks a very important and time bound question, "today, if ye will hear his voice," or in other words, Christ is speaking to you, and not tomorrow, not later, but today; and the question is, do you hear Him?

How do we hear His voice? We hear His voice from the mouth of His prophets and apostles, we hear His voice from the pages of holy writ, and we hear His voice spoken to our hearts by the Holy Ghost and by the Light of Christ through our conscience.

With all that is going on in the world right now we are lucky that our dear prophet has been encouraging us to study and prepare ourselves spiritually for the past six months. This preparation not only strengthens our testimony in preparation for conference but it also simultaneously strengthens us for the days that are coming. Let’s look at the words of the prophet Joseph Smith and liken them unto ourselves as we aim to find greater faith and understanding of the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This video and podcast is exciting because we get to dive into the allegory of the olive tree. My favorite part is when the Lord gathers Israel. This week I will share a video that will hopefully get us all excited about our part in the work. We also go over some tips from Jacob to help us when people disagree with our beliefs.

-What a wonderful time to be pure in heart, the world is in great need of ministering and missionary work!
