This week actually felt like work used to feel.

The clock watching desperation of last minute prep for an event whilst simultaneously trying to pack a suitcase and embark on a journey to get to the place I need to be, even though I haven't quite finished what I told myself had to be finished before I could set off.

The resumption of the self-invented hotel rooms routines, that don't make an enormous amount of sense but have to be followed if I am going to be able to settle and operate in transition.

The late night before, and the early morning on the day. The buzz of the crowd who arrive a little earlier than I had planned on.

The faulty HDMI cable.

And the glorious point when everybody in that room was, just for a moment, transported back to a different time & place.
