Can submission help you heal after trauma?

In this episode of Come Undone, Georgia Rose is joined by former international dominatrix, kink therapist and confidence coach Miss Erica Storm (also known as Madam Storm) for a conversation about surrender, self-trust and sexual confidence.

Following her conscious kink experience in the previous episode, Georgia shares a powerful realisation she had: after cancer treatment, she had unconsciously begun to associate surrendering her body with pain, fear and loss of control. But through a carefully held BDSM ritual, she experienced something entirely different - a reprogramming of that association, and a restoration of agency.

Together, Georgia and Erica explore why submission can be deeply empowering, how kink can provide a space for healing and reclamation, and what it means to rebuild trust in yourself after trauma.

The conversation expands into a broader discussion about confidence, people-pleasing, boundaries and self-worth. Erica challenges Georgia to examine her relationship with self-trust, arguing that genuine confidence isn't something we perform — it's something we cultivate through learning to honour ourselves, use our voice and trust our own decisions.

As part of this week's assignment, Georgia attends Erica's 'Strut Masterclass', where she explores her "inner domme" and "small self", confronts the lingering impact of cancer on her confidence, and discovers just how emotional the simple affirmation "I trust my body" can be.
