Episode #7 - Burns and Allen – Gracie Wins Wisconsin
An American comedy duo, Burns and Allen, was George Burns and his wife and partner, Gracie Allen. In September 1934, their 30-minute radio program premiered as The Adventures of Gracie, whose name changed to The Burns and Allen Show in 1936. From 1936 till 1950, the series switched back and forth between NBC and CBS until it was canceled. Burns and Allen reemerged on television with a successful situation comedy from 1950 to 1958.
Plot
Last week, Gracie "upset" the Wisconsin primary. She received a total of 63 votes. Ray Noble performs a solo rendition of Gracie's campaign song (which may be titled "Vote For Gracie"). "My, My," Gracie sings. So, what are we going to talk about tonight? Gracie asks George, shall we talk about you or something interesting? Let's talk about George Gracie, shall we? "So tell me about yourself, and what do you think of how I upset them last week in the Wisconsin Primary?"
