This week we tackle Emil Farris' brilliant work, My Favorite Thing Is Monsters. This is a heavy one (and not just because the book is huge). We talk about race, sexuality, gender, and the Holocaust as we discuss the Eisner-winning, Hugo-nominated book about a young woman growing up in 1960s Chicago.

The Adventure Zone: Here There Be Gerblins is finally available in sweet, sweet paperback! We laughed, we cried, we did a fantastic Magic Brian impression.

Other things we talk about:

This week, we go back in time to the early 90s to talk about the one and only X-Force. We discuss Cable's team of young vigilantes, questionable anatomy, clothing that is literally painted on, Gideon and Cruel's troubled marriage, and gratuitous amounts of pockets.

Picking a CLAMP title was really, really hard, but we settled Magic Knight Rayearth. It's one of their earlier stories - a fantastic tale of three badass 14 year olds who are whisked away to another world to rescue a princess.

Or at least, that's what they're told.

Notes: this episode was originally recorded in March and also Andrew had a cold. Please ignore any sniffling and/or temporal abnormalities.
