Comic Book Keepers

Chris and regular guest Jeremy share the weirdest comic book merchandise they could find on the internet and boy, this was a rabbit hole! From kitchen appliances and fast food, to hamster houses and colognes, superheroes have been used to sell all kinds of products... even toilet paper.  While listening, you can check out this Patreon post with an image gallery of most of the items we discuss.

Our San Diego Comic Con coverage continues with the Energon Universe Roundtable! We had the incredible opportunity to sit down with Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead, Invincible, Void Rivals), Daniel Warren Johnson (Murder Falcon, Do A Powerbomb, Transformers), Joshua Williamson (Nailbiter, Dark Crisis, Cobra Commander, Duke) and Sean Mackiewicz (Skybound Senior Vice President and Editor-In-Chief) to discuss their exciting new comic universe from Skybound which incorporates Void Rivals and fan favorite IPs, Transformers and G.I. Joe! This surreal experience was a dream come true. Not only were there some fun laughs, but these legendary creators provide incredible reveals for how the Energon Universe came to be, how these IPs molded their childhoods and what we can expect moving forward. You do NOT want to miss this issue! Joining us for the roundtable include our good friends Brad and Lisa from Comic Book Couples Counseling, as well as Jace Milam from The Comic Source and HipHopGamer. Enjoy!

Our first wave of issues from SDCC 2023 enter the Morphin Grid!!! Boom! Studios was kind enough to send over an email with a list of creators available for interviews at SDCC so of course I, Lance, jumped at the chance to talk Power Rangers with Melissa Flores and Meghan Camarena. Melissa and Meghan are the co-writers for Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce #1 which continues the legacy of the Hyperforce RPG series. Seriously, if you're a Power Ranger fan, you NEED to watch this series. Melissa and Meghan are an absolute delight. Support their work with Boom! Studios as well as their work over at Image Comics within the Massive-Verse with Radiant Pink. Enjoy the ambient background noise that is San Diego Comic Con!

Chris and Lance celebrate their 100th issue with some help from friends in the podcasting community! Our comic book obsessive collaborators were kind enough to send in a variety of nerdy questions for a Q&A style episode. A sincere thank you to everyone who joined in for this milestone issue, all of our listeners and our incredible supporters on Patreon. We would not have made it to 100 issues without this community's passion for geeky content. We hope this issue conveys our gratitude and appreciation for you all.

Follow our friends who sent in questions!
