Comic Book Keepers

What kinda hare brained scheme are we up to? Yes friends, this episode is deep diving into a cartoony anthropomorphic character that might be a little off beat to some of you... Captain Carrot. Did you know that he's a DC character? Did you know that Grant Morrison wrote the comic for a bit? Did you know he has a whole team called the zoo crew? Well, buckle up, carrot cake, it's about to get bunny. Not sure what that means... but we're going with it.

Hello there loyal listeners! Here is our final episode related to SDCC 2025 and it's a big one! This is our 3rd year in a row joining in on the Energon Universe interviews and it never fails to be a surreal experience. Hope you enjoy this conversation with Daniel Warren Johnson, Robert Kirkman, Joshua Williamson and Sean Mankiewicz!

Special thanks to our friend Stephen who did an amazing job leveling the audio from this interview. Roundtables can make for some rough audio, but Stephen made this recording sound SO much better than the original. You can get your graphic, audio, video (and more) needs met by reaching out to Stephen on his website, peppermintgentleman.com

The Godzilla Kai-Sei Era has begun!!! Lance and Jeremy discuss the surge in Godzilla content in recent years, leading up to the release of IDW's new trinity of titles from everyone's favorite colossal atomic lizard. We breakdown and review all 3 of Godzilla's latest ongoing comic series (Godzilla, Godzilla: Escape The Deadzone and Starship Godzilla) and discuss why you should add all three to you pull list. This epsiode also includes our interview from San Diego Comic Con with Griffin Sheridan and Ethan S. Parker (co-writers of Godzilla: Escape The Deadzone), Oliver Ono (artist of Starship Godzilla) and Jake Williams (editor of all Godzilla Kai-Sei Era titles). We had a blast chatting with all these talented creators and are thrilled the public can now finally read titles from the latest, and epic, era of Godzilla. Long live Kai-Sei!!!

Godzilla and Godzilla: Escape The Deadzone have both released their premier issues which you can pick up TODAY! Starship Godzilla hits comic shelves on 10/1/25 so be sure to tell your local comic shop to add it to your pull list.

If you missed out on the SDCC exclusives from IDW, have no fear! IDW is selling their SDCC Exclusive Godzilla books on their website until the end of August 2025. Here are the links for each exclusive you can snag:

Chris and Jeremy (from the Geekly Grind) discuss their thoughts on Fantastic Four: First Steps. Marvel finally got their chance to put their first family in the MCU. Is it a clobberin good time or should it burn up in flames?

Another San Diego Comic Con has come and gone, but have no fear! This is just the first of multiple episodes we'll be dropping over the next couple weeks to keep that sweet sweet SDCC dopamine rush coming! We sit down with Robert Kirkman and David Finch to discuss Skinbreaker, their upcoming series from Image and Skybound. In this roundtable we are joined by Hector Navarro (Heroes Reforged) and Jace Milam (The Comic Source), as well as a couple more outlets which I regrettably did not get information from to include them in this section. With that being said, we hope you enjoy this roundtable discussion with Robert Kirkman and Davis Finch!

Special thanks to our friend Stephen who did an amazing job leveling the audio from this interview.
