Two issues dropped on the same day?! That's right! We had to edit furiously to get both issues out this quickly after WonderCon, but our arthritic fingers were up to the task. Lance had the opportunity to sit down with all three co-creators of Magma Comix's new series, The Principles of Necromancy! Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing and Eamon Winkle share insights into their creative process, the unique perspective each issue will assume, the heart behind the horror and most importantly, what playlist do they listen to when coming up with these twisted ideas!

The Principles of Necromancy #1 hits comic shelves TODAY, April 3rd, 2024! Run to your local shop to snag a copy. If they don't have any, ask your LCS to put in an order!

WonderCon 2024 has come and gone once again! It may have been noticeably less busy with fewer big names compared to 2023, but WonderCon continues to provide a phenomenal experience. Chris and Lance recap their WonderCon experiences along with regular guest Jeremy (The Geekly Grind) and Brad (Comic Book Couples Counseling)! Our experiences were too immense to fit into 1 episode, so be on the lookout for part 2 dropping very soon!

In honor of the new X-Men '97 animated show, we decided to go a little villainous and focus on the most twisted geneticist, Mr. Sinister. Lance and Chris deep dive into his ominous origins, his creators, powers and abilities, and many many characters that he's had a hand in manipulating over the years. And what if you could splice two mutants together? Listen and find out who we picked!

Star crossed lovers, lying cats, TV heads, war, and sex. This issue is all about Saga, by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples, one of the best ongoing comic series of the last 10 years.  We're also joined by Chris Hacker from the Oblivion Bar Podcast! We discuss the creators, the characters, the many awards, and tackle some of our favorite moments of (the first half of) this epic galaxy spanning sci-fi fantasy series! This show has a lot of mature theme discussion so it may not be appropriate for younger listeners.

Check out the Oblivion Bar on all major podcast streaming services.

Have you ever finished a comic series and wished there was more to read? US TOO! Jake from Spec Tales and Mike from Ten Cent Takes join Lance for a comic nostalgia filled episode where they discuss what comics they need more of in their lives. From manga inspired gems to marvelous amalgamations, this nerdy trio covers a wide variety of comics that deserve to have more of their stories told. Side note, we do NOT in fact wish there to be a purge in order for these comics to be revived... that'll make sense once you listen to the episode... Enjoy!
