Comic Book Rundown

For this episode, we watched Dick Tracy from 1990. This comic strip turned movie takes the gritty detective work and throws a lot of bright colors at it. Something Batman could never do.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

It's a bird. It's a plane. And yes, that terrible line is in Superman Returns from 2006. But not everything in here was terrible. Some stuff still holds up. Not the bullet to the eye though. That was still dumb.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

It's 2004. Comic book movies are becoming more and more popular. Enter The Punisher. This movie was great in 2004, and it honestly still holds up to this day.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes, Charlie Shaw and Colin McDanielEdited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

MORE STAR WARS!! That's right. Our next Star Wars movie is Episode III: Revenge of the Sith from 2005. Do the four of us think this was the best prequel era movie? Cause I think it is.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes, Charlie Shaw and Jordan ZeilingerEdited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

In 2007, three decades after the tv pilot movie and about a decade before the MCU one, we were privileged to get an animated Doctor Strange movie. And, in all honesty, this isn't half bad.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

In a world where corruption is out in the open, only one man can save the people of Tromaville and that's the Toxic Avenger. We watched The Toxic Avenger Part II for this episode, and boy was it a doozy.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

We are now up to the third Star Wars movie in the series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars from 2008. And... I may have told the guys to watch the 2D micro series as well, and then said we weren't gonna cover it. Chaos ensues. On this episode, we watched A History of Violence from 2005. Not as gangster driven as Road to Perdition, but what few action scenes that were there were cool. Everyone loves the big green guy that smashes everything. But before we got Mark Ruffalo stepping in, we had Eric Bana in Hulk from 2003. They sure tried something different here.Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0

This is the start of the DC animated movies. We watched Superman: Doomsday from 2007. While good in 2007, can it stand up to our scrutiny 17 years later?Twitter: @comicrundownInstagram: @comicbookrundownEmail: [email protected] by Joe Janero, Ron Hanes and Charlie Shaw Edited by Joe JaneroTheme song provided by the other member of the Sex Turtles (Cam Malidor)Find our t-shirts at Redbubble and TeePublic https://www.redbubble.com/shop/comic+book+rundown?ref=search_boxhttp://tee.pub/lic/vBbIJZ4eLQ0
