Al chats with Eben Matthews about The Makerverse & Macroverse Epics . This is the beginning of a brand new creative community, all designed to empower story-tellers in this all-in-one creator-focused economy—with a soft opening for enrollment for all comics creators—from concept art, character design, gaming, storyboarding, and animation. On this platform, creators remain in control of their own work and monetization, to the degree they desire.

SAPIENS SYNOPSIS : “Artists with superpowers manifested through their artistic abilities struggle against a powerful foe who seeks to take their powers and use them to gain influence over the world” Three years of work from concept to creation for the Sapiens movie project.

This is part of our Kansas City community film project where we use film as an apparatus and instrument for change.

We collaborated with more than 30 different demographics in Kansas City bringing together communities that have never worked together before and wouldn’t work with each other otherwise. This method of collaboration is part projects mission, which includes conflict resolution and reducing violence.

Tune in as Al Mega chats with legendary creator, Ed Piskor about his latest project, Red Room!

Synopsis:

“Red Room is a cyberpunk, outlaw, splatterpunk comic that you can’t un-see once you feast your eyes on the mayhem,” said Piskor. “Think of Red Room as modern day E.C. Comics, infused with the dream of Black Mirror. These are subversive, stand alone stories that are all part of a larger, twisted narrative.” In Red Room, criminals livestream murders on the dark web for fun and profit. The series will be told through a series of interconnected, stand alone stories, focusing on unsavory characters that lurk in the most grotesque corners of cyberspace. The murders are a mystery, the victims unknown. Aided by the anonymous dark web and nearly untraceable crypto-currency, business is booming and the viewership is ever-growing.

Red Room issue 1 is available for pre-order via Fantagraphics:
https://www.fantagraphics.com/products/red-room-1
Issue 1 will be published on May 19, 2021.
