Comic Obscura Showcase

More from Image Comics! This episode about The Wild C.A.T.S is more of that special 1990s energy. With lots of alien stuff dumped on top. With this comic someone may have had a hit on their hands, yet it still faded into obscurity, but maybe after a revisit, we can slip on the Infinity Gauntlet or pull out the cosmic cube and give it another shot at life. Spikes, pouches, too many belts, cyborgs, and bikini costumes, this episode, the focus is on Gen 13, the edgy sexy X-men of the 90s from Image Comics. Could stories about this group of teen superheroes on the run work today? Sure, if HBO makes it. What went right, what went wrong, the good, the bad, the drama. I'm going all in to see if there's something to be salvaged. (re-upload from August 27 2018)

Taskmaster is in the new Black Widow movie that exists, but hasn't been released in any format yet. This is an older recording, but even so Taskmaster is still what you would consider an obscure character. The movie may change that depending on the depiction Marvel studios uses for their movie, but I'm gonna walk you through his history and powers and why he's real deal merc of Marvel Comics. And while he's been a bit of bit player in the comics, I think he's still got a few more adventures left in him. (re-upload from September 11 2018)

First special episode! I did it! It's done. There was a show I watched growing up called C.O.P.S. I'm gonna talk about it cause a lot of people probably don't know about it, and also it was a comic. Ha! Loop hole. So let's get into it, it's a long one but a good one if I do say so myself. And I do... cause no one else will. Hah, if you're gonna make a turd, you can at least stand by your turd. But this is a podcast, so hopefully others can enjoy it and stand by it too... what is this, what am I doing. Just have a listen, please? (re-upload from August 28 2018)

This episode I'm talking a protagonist who would be perfect for a superhero survival horror. If you're into that kind of thing. Imagine if the Joker was a engineering genius with the capital to build amusement parks for the sole purpose of killing heroes. Look I'm not even sure Morgan Freeman could make that sound cool, but it is. I think. I'm talking about Marvel comics character Arcade. (re-upload from August 14 2018)

As if one day someone said "What if the Joker, but a good guy...and also Looney Tunes". The Heckler is a short lived, yet interesting experiment on the superhero formula. It's a little bit of this and that. I'd say it was a bit ahead of its time and after learning a bit about this character, you may agree that his time is now. (re-upload from July 31 2018)

A DC and Marvel character discussion? What? Why not? This episode I'm talking about two of the weirdest and yet some how obscure characters from their respective publishers. DC's B'wanna Beast and Marvel's Madcap. Who are they, what are they, do they know things? Let's find out. And of course what can be done to revitalize them. (re-upload from July 17 2018)

My first episode of my first podcast. Go easy on me and give it ...I dunno, 5 stars? If you like it. It's me babbling about one of my favorite characters from the DC comics universe:  The Question. I'm talking history and background, and then my thoughts on how to bring him or her (cause there have been different versions of this character) back into the limelight. If you're looking to learn about the obscure and overlooked character throughout comics history, this pod is for you. Oh, and your friend over there. I see you there! Have a listen. (re-upload from July 3 2018)
