In 1988, the very first issue of John Constantine's own solo Vertigo series entitled "Hellblazer," was released. This series ran for 300 issues ending in 2010. During this time we have seen John Constantine take on some of greatest mystical threats that the earth has ever seen while still dealing with the everyday issues a normal human being goes through. In 1983, DC Comics hired Alan Moore ("Watchmen," "V For Vendetta," "Batman: The Killing Joke"), to take over what would become one of Moore's best works, "The Saga of Swamp Thing." Moore would take over at issue #20 and would go on to write 45 issues in this fantastic run.
