ComiCentric Issue 97: With out a gout, a feet of an episode
(*recorded live during business hours*)
Once upon a time, in the opulent kingdom of Purrrsia, there ruled a majestic cat named Magi Whiskers III. Magi Whiskers was known far and wide for his lush lavish lifestyle, indulging in the finest feline foods and lounging in the most luxurious of linens. His fellow aristocats lavished him with treats and his fellow meowgi revered him for his granpurrrr.
However, as the years passed, Magi Whiskers' indulgent lifestyle began to take its toll. He found himself plagued by bouts of excruciating pain in various joints, diagnosed by Dr. Magus Mouse as gout. The once proud and regal king was now confined to his throne, unable to enjoy the plentiful pleasures his kingdom had to offer.
Determined to regain his health and vitality, Magi Whiskers embarked on a journey of self-discovery. He bid farewell to his rich diet of fancy meats and savory seafood, instead embracing simpler options such as fresh vegetables, and plenty of water. This was the task set forth for all the finest chefs in all the land; create nutritious and delicious meals fit for a Magi on the mend.
In addition to dietary changes, Magi Whiskers embraced a more active lifestyle. He traded his days of lounging for brisk hikes through the vast palatial peaks and invigorating swims in the royal rivers. With each step and stroke, he felt his strength and vitality returning, and the pain of gout slowly receding.
As the seasons passed, Magi Whiskers' health continued to improve. His fur regained its luster, his eyes sparkled with renewed vigor, and his fellow meowgi marveled at the transformation of their once ailing Magus. Magi Whiskers had learned that true wealth lay not in riches and indulgence, but in the health and happiness that comes from living in harmony with oneself and the world around them.

ComiCentric Issue 96: Ooh the webs we weave when Madam Web we go see.
I hate spoilers... whether it be for movies or tv shows. I don’t like things being spoiled for me. Also, I do not like to watch movie trailers, this is like the ultimate spoiler, on the small screen. i.e. tv. pc. tablets. phones. I like trailers on the theater big screen. What does that make me?
I prefer to avoid spoilers and watch movie trailers in theaters rather than on small screens because I prioritize experiencing movies in a particular way. I enjoy the immersive experience of watching trailers in a cinematic setting, where the scale and sound enhance the viewing experience. Additionally, my aversion to spoilers indicates a desire to preserve the surprise visuals and suspense of a story, allowing me to fully engage with the narrative as it unfolds without prior knowledge. Overall, these preferences are a reflection, a desire for a more immersive and subjective authentic movie-watching experience, which many others may also share.
Having said all of that, be forewarned, I spoil the shit out of Madam Web. And what I was told early on was the reviews were bad. And so, before I was subjected to any negativity from the interwebs. I went on a one-man date on Valentine’s Day to go see Madam Web. before anyone can get me with any spoilers and the only thing, I knew was from what I was told. And that one trailer everyone saw preceding the marvels movie.
And ok I won’t spoil the movie anymore. Let’s just say I haven’t failed you, but I have shielded you... AND I saved you money!
Sorry not sorry!

ComiCentric Issue 95: Backhanded compliments & Front handed insults.
Valentine's Day, once rooted in the noble traditions of a Christian martyr, a date set aside for timely courtly love and heartfelt expressions, has metamorphosed into a commercialized manifestation of backhanded compliments and front-handed insults.
Initially celebrated with genuine tokens of affection and heartfelt gestures, the holiday has devolved into a marketplace frenzy of commercially produced cards and enforced gift giving, often masking insincere sentiments behind the mask veil of consumerism.
While once a day for honoring love and relationships, Valentine's Day now in contradiction teeters on the edge of superficiality, with expressions of affection often overshadowed by societal pressures and commercial interests.
Despite its noble origins, the holiday's evolution reflects a widespread societal shift towards performative motions and materialistic displays, which highlights the complexities of modern-day romance and the commodity of emotions.
Perhaps that’s why the next logical evolution of the holiday. Is to be renamed, Scumbag Christmas and it will be synonyms with half off candies and fighting couples at Ikea.

ComiCentric Issue 94: The holes at the bottom of a twinkie are for ventilation.

The creamy ventilation holes unleashed a confectionary countermeasure. but it was no match for Godzilla's relentless rampage.
With a triumphant skreonk, Godzilla squeezed his vanquished foe in his massive claws and lifted it high into the air. With one swift motion, he brought the Twinkie crashing down to the ground, its sugary shell shattered into pieces.

Though the city of Lost Angles was battered but unbowed, it looked on in awe at the mighty creature that had saved them once again. And as the dust settled. You ever have a dream? A dream that’s not big. Not elaborate. Not a big deal. A dream that would mean the world, in its own little way. Could be as simple as eat ‘Japanese food in Japan’
My recent sojourn whisked me away to the vibrant tapestry of Japan, and onto the bustling streets of Osaka and the neon-lit avenues of Shinjuku. A culinary odyssey awaited, as each day unfolded as a duet between exploration and gastronomy.
Osaka offered a kaleidoscope of flavors. From savory Takoyaki, sizzling Okonomiyaki to the comforting aroma of street-side Yakitori, every bite narrated a tale of culinary mastery. Amidst a visit to an ancient castle and tranquil budding Sakura gardens, my senses were perpetually serenaded by the sizzle of street food.
Remarkably, my appetite knew no end. Yet, despite the constant movement, and saturated visits to the convenience store savory concessions, a curious alchemy occurred. The flavors of Japan seemed to dance with my footsteps, resulting in a paradox — a loss of a single pound amid gastronomic abundance.
I could seriously recant every bowl of curry and ramen I had and like snowflakes. no two wherever the same. Unless u went back to the same spot for seconds.

The Limbo between Christmas and New Year's may be a result of historical serendipity. Celebrated on December 25th, Christmas, marks the birth of little baby Jesus in Christian orthodox traditions. New Year's, celebrated on January 1st, marks the beginning of the more traditional Gregorian calendar year. Determined to return to the earth and reshape the world according to his vision, Kitzler hatched a plan to raise and tame dinosaurs within the moon's vast caverns.
For decades, hidden from the eyes of the people on Earth, Kitzler toiled to domesticate these prehistoric beasts, forging an alliance between man and dinosaur beneath the silent glow of the hollowed moon. The lunars empty core became a refuge, a breeding ground, and a training arena for his colossal companions.
As the years passed, Kitzler's ambition grew. He dreamt of returning to Earth, leading a formidable army of dinosaurs to conquer the world. With a horde of trained dinosaurs at his command, he believed he could establish a new order, one where he held the reins of power.
On the eve of the New Year, Kitzler's dream drew near realization. The moon's caverns echoed with the roars of dinosaurs, and the scientist gazed at Earth from the lunar surface, plotting his triumphant return.
However, fate had other plans. Unbeknownst to Kitzler, his plan had a bit of a hiccup. While he was able to get to the moon, raise and train a legion of dinosaurs. he finally had the realization that he never figured how he would return to earth with his army.
