Comics Evolved

This week the show was broadcast LIVE and we were joined by Fred Carmicheal as he gave us number 100 of his popular Agree or Disagree posts.

With great engagement from listeners and some really interesting questions, this is a super fun episode and will kick off a new era for this show.

We welcome Jamie Smith this week, fellow Facebook group Admin to contemplate Moonknight in the MCU based on some of Jamies comic knowledge of the character.

The guys also talk a little about She-Hulk and Guardians 3 and as always share a laugh or two.

This week Andy, Jarian and Alex are joined by Paul Scardino, who until last year held the World Record for biggest Funko Pop collection and who runs his own Facebook Group and Youtube Channel.

The guys chat about how and why Paul got started, how his collection transcends simply being a collection, and of course the link between Pops and Marvel.

Paul also gives some handy tips to any collectors out there and shares his likes and dislikes of the MCU.

Jarian also updates us on some new items and including some Midnight Sons clues.

Professor Marvel himself (nickname given by me) Martin Flanagan is back to talk with the guys about Phase 4 so far and the themes we have seen throughout the projects.

He breaks down the suggestion of "identity" being a key word this phase and gives some thoughts on the pros and cons of feature length movies vs weekly streamed shows.

Jarian also updates us with some news items, specifically about Wakanda Forever.

For the first episode of 2022 the guys welcome back guest host Monte Harry to talk all about Secret Invasion: The comic run from 2008 written by Brian Michael Bendis which deals with the Skulls invading Earth and revealing sleeper cells that have been n Earth for many years.

How will Marvel use this story in the MCU? Will they use influence for the cartoons? What themes does the story play on and what scenes convey the biggest emotions

All this and more in this first episode of season 2!

In the last episode of 2021 Andy, Jarian and Alex look back at the shows first season and thank everyone involved, all the guest hosts for their contributions and shout out to some fantastic group members who have supplied amazing content to our Facebook group this past year.

The guys also discuss that Multiverse of Madness trailer and try to work out where that movie could be going.

Happy New Year to all our listeners, catch you in 2022!

This week the guys discuss the Hawkeye season finale and talk about how much Clint has grown and what the events of the series could mean going forward in the MCU.

Andy gives his thoughts on the Secret Empire story arc, Alex shows of some new Funko and Jarian share some new plushes in his office.

The lads also discuss some rumours around Werewolf by Night.

On this episode the guys discuss the many layers of Clint Barton and get in to the depth of the show and the character. Episode 5 of Hawkeye was a BIG one and this leaves lots of questions to be asked for the finale.

Luke Smith again joins the lads for this SPOILER HEAVY No Way Home discussion.

Luke Smith from Hydra Collectables is back to talk about comic grading, the cost of collecting, and of course Spider-Man.

Luke and the guys dive deep in to the character of Peter Parker in the comics and each iteration of him in the movies as well as set out their expectation for No Way Home.
