Comics Evolved

Jarian updates us on news and rumours from around the MCU including Disney Plus day and much much more.

This week, Andy, Jarian and Alex are taken back to school by Film Studies lecturer and co-author of the book "The Marvel Studios Phenomenon" Martin Flanagan. Martin shares his insights in to why and how the MCU has been so successful and answers the age old question; is Civil War a Cap movie or a team up movie?

The guys also discuss genre, Martin shares his wishes going forward and they direct some news on Venom and the Eternals.

No episode would be complete without talking about the latest Disney+ release, Whats If... Party Thor.

The first of a new series of mini podcasts hosted by Jarian going through all the weeks news and rumours keeping you up do date on the latest from in and around Marvel and the MCU.

This week the guys are joined by Tom Duke from Stepping Through Film. Tom's unique photography is exposed in this episode and he schools Andy and co on MCU locations with some surprising facts.

The news this week brings talk of Venom and MCU breadcrumbs and also of Kingpins potential debut in the MCU proper.

To round the episode off is a discussion on What If... Killmonger saved Tony Stark.

The guys also break down and discuss a members post on "superhero fatigue" and update us on their collections and what they have been reading and watching this past week.

In this weeks episode Jarian, Andy and Alex give their feedback on Shang Chi but theres a TWIST... Alex hadn't actually seen the movie at the time of recording so witness Jarian and Andy spoil the entire movie for Alex, live!

Disclaimer, Alex was aware of what was happening.

If you want to skip the Shang Chi chatter, skip to 46 minutes where the guys look at this weeks news and rumours and talk about last weeks hard hitting What If.

Andy, Jarian and Alex discuss their expectations for Shang Chi, rifle through the latest MCU news and rumours, reflect on the No Way Home trailer and generally have a good 'ol chat about Marvel.

Also on this weeks episode, Andy gets attacked by a fly, Jarians Taskmaster complex still exists and Alex definitely has a Funko Pop problem.

With Jason unavailable this episode Jarian and Andy are joined by Luke Smith from YouTube's Hydra Collectables to talk about collecting comics and toys, Spiderman, the comedy in the MCU and of course catching up on the last weeks news and rumours form the MCU world.

Also worth noting Andy's technical issues which led to poor sound quality... won't happen again. ;)
