FEAR = False Evidence Appearing Real
When I first saw this acronym, a BIG light bulb went off. For the first time, I realized that there's absolutely ZERO truth behind the door of our fear. Although WHAT we fear isn't real, the WHY behind our fear is. …and a lot of it has to do with the lies we believe or the lie-based stories we tell ourselves.
So, what do you do when you feel trapped by your fear?
Today's Guest answers this question and then some. This week, I sit down with 22-year U.S. Navy Veteran, Executive Director of Warfighter Advance, and Internationally Recognized Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Mary Vieten. For decades, this woman has helped American war heroes overcome their fears and severe levels of trauma. She's going to break down how we can master ours.
Dr. Mary draws from personal stories and real-life experiences while she unpacks a range of topics from hilarious military moments to serious mental health concerns. Join us as we reflect on the strength of overcoming fear and trauma, as well as the significance of showing up for those who come to us in times of need.
If you want to overcome your fears more confidently and consistently, then don't miss today's episode.

Life's detours are tough, but I've found pit stops to be even tougher. So what do you do in those seasons when you feel like your progress towards your purpose and goals is halted?…like you got out of life's race and find yourself in an unplanned pit stop confused, frustrated, or even depressed?
In today's 5 Minute Drill, I'm kicking off a 4-part series on purpose pit stops. And that's speaking from firsthand experience!
If you want a better approach to breaking through the pit stops in your life, then lock in to today's Drill. You'll get plenty of insights on resilience and how to step into a future that aligns with your values.

How much energy and brain space do your problems and challenges take up?
Let's be honest, they take up more space than we typically want to admit. Two approaches usually happen when hurdles pop up:
#1: complain
#2: do everything humanly possible to find solutions to them (and don't stop until they're solved).
#2 seems better than #1, right? That's what us high achievers do…we find solutions. But at what cost?
Oftentimes, it's burnout. Because we have a tendency to OBSESS about solving our problems, even when it's not our problem to solve. Then we wonder why we have more problems and less blessings in life.
In today's 5 Minute Drill, let's talk about how to put yourself in position to receive more blessings in life. There's a key paradigm shift and process surrounding life problems that I want to share with you. I believe with every bone in my body that it will position you for more blessings and miracles in your life.
If you want a better approach to addressing your problems and put yourself in better position to receive more blessings, then lock in to today's Drill.

Confidence. When you see the word, what comes to mind?
"I want more of it."
That's typically the response I get from people. What about you? What would your life and leadership look like if you had more confidence?
On today's episode of the Coming Up Clutch with J.R.™ show, I sit down with Paul Epstein - the man who took the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers from #28 in sales to #2. NUMBER 2! I'd say it took some confidence to walk into a role in what seemed like a lose-lose situation. That's Paul's M.O. The guy has a track record in the NFL and NBA for making great decisions and turning low morale teams into confident and courageous overachievers, even in the most uncertain of times. And we tap into all of that on today's show!

Today, we're going to talk about what to do in those moments where you feel under attack by the people closest to you. When I say under attack, I'm talking about those moments when something was said to you that triggered negative emotions, or when someone called you out on something you didn't like being called out on. This topic means a lot to me because, if I'm being honest, the passionate half-Italian athlete in me has failed SO many times in these moments. But, I've learned a ton from them and want to share a strategy that's going to help you stay strong in those moments instead of falling apart.
Lock in to find out how to turn challenging moments into powerful, win-win opportunities.
