Episode #139.5: Daniel Brodie, Morgan's Organs. Recorded on 1/26/2016. The Point-5 Initiative returns! This week Josh sits down to speak with Daniel Brodie, creator of the comic book called Morgan's Organs. Morgan's Organs is essentially a very adult version of the movie Inside Out and it is on Kickstarter right now! During this interview Daniel talks about the inception of Morgan's Organs, what it is like working with artist Robert Jennex without ever having met face-to-face, the goals of his Kickstarter campaign, as well as some of the things readers can look forward to if the campaign is successful. Be sure to listen in as Josh does his best not to make Americans sound like pricks and Daniel answers the questions with all the grace and poise of a Canadian. Be sure to visit his Kickstarter page and give him some support.

I think the hallmark of a good story takes something readers or viewers are familiar with and then take it to another place or bends it to another angle. The concept of Morgan's Organs is not something new. Inside Out, Being John Malcovich, the story of things within us governing our actions and vying for control over our own conscious. But the fun of stories like Morgan's Organs is that it's not Inside Out, it's not Being John Malcovich, it is entirely Daniel Brodie's and Robert Jennex's creation. A creation that the two are passionate enough to put themselves on the internet and attempt to garner support from strangers. And with how the internet is normally, that is one of the bravest things a creator can do in the modern age.
You may call the premise of a comic with main characters comprised of a brain and a penis juvenile, and to an extent it is, but after having spoken with Daniel about the inception of the comic and what could come of it if the Kickstarter campaign is successful, I highly recommend sending these two creators all of your support. And who knows, maybe these two Canadian good ol boys will eventually migrate down to the states and become real people....if only for a time :)

All joking aside, Canadians are probably better people than your average American. Ok Buddy? I'm not your Buddy, Guy. I'm not your Guy, Friend! I'm not your Friend, Buddy!
