This week is a catch-all of MTG community topics as well as a call-out for listener submissions. I listen to several casts that have listeners send in audio files with questions. I'd love to give it a go! MTG, community, playgroup dynamics, podcasting. It's all on the table!

This week, I conclude the process of going through every one of my Commander decks to cut one card in favor of an additional removal spell. This turned into quite a fun little exercise, a cool little learning tool and a quick fix of MTG during a time where I'm not playing a ton.

This week, I begin the process of going through every one of my Commander decks to cut one card in favor of an additional removal spell. In doing so, I'm hoping to keep my decks on the same level as other decks in my meta, post Modern Horizons 3. This was a fun, interesting and challenging experiment. And, one I would recommend, if you feel your decks are a little antiquated, compared to your meta.

This week I give a behind-the-scenes recap on CommandFest Vancouver. From initial set-up to late-night tear-down. The experience was far more work, far more stuff, and far more rewarding than I thought it would be. Come see what it's all about!

With the help of another listener email, we tackle a couple pretty big, and pretty rewarding, topics floating around the MTG stratosphere. Failure and the persistence it takes to push past the ever-gnawing doubt and anxiety that caused by it!

This week's community topic is one that I don't think anyone thinks about but take some part in, every time they sit down with Magic on the mind. Do you build more decks? Or do you tweak and tune more decks? Which is more important? Come hear my thoughts on the whole matter.

With everything that's being going on with the Commander Cookout Media Group over the past few months, it's been very difficult to strike the right balance of work and play. Luckily MTG has all the depth, complexities and social lessons that I need to get my games back on track!
