💬 Which Corn Maze Secret Lair are YOU most excited for?
Labyrinth? KPop Demon Hunters? Marvel Zombies? Or one of the other drops?
🚨Live Cast Here🚨
https://youtube.com/live/ZqbN9b7u_zU

💰 What Is Break Point (BP)?
Break Point helps figure out how many drops you need to buy before one becomes "free."
Because let's be real — we all want that freebie drop for the shelf! 😎
How It Works:
1️⃣ Add up the lowest Foil + Non-Foil values.
2️⃣ Subtract fees, shipping, and the drop cost to find Net Profit.
3️⃣ Divide total profit by drop cost = your BP.
Example:
If a drop costs $40 and nets $80 → BP 2
If it nets $55 → BP 4
💡 Pro Tip: Prices often dip right after shipping but usually rebound (or climb higher) 10–16 months later. Patience = profit.

September 09 🔥10 Standard Cards You're NOT Playing in Commander! 👀 - #439
Episode 439:
🎙️ This Week on the CommanderSmiths Podcast! 🎙️
👀 What is Standard hiding from Commander?!
This week we're hunting for the most underplayed Commander cards that are STILL in Standard! 🔥
We're putting a simple rule on the list:
➡️ The card has to be from a set that's currently Standard legal
➡️ It has to be in fewer than 20,000 EDHREC decks
From there, we're picking the cards we think Commander players are seriously sleeping on.
Some of these cards might eventually become staples... while others could be cards that look great on paper but just don't quite make the jump from Standard to Commander. 😈
In this episode we cover:
👀 Underplayed Standard cards for Commander
📊 Cards with fewer than 20K EDHREC decks
🔥 Our biggest sleeper picks
💥 Cards we think could become Commander staples
🧠 Why some Standard cards translate better to EDH than others
😳 Cards that are WAY more powerful than their current Commander numbers suggest
And of course...
Adam vs Lowery — which sleeper picks are actually worth playing?!
💬 What Standard card are YOU surprised isn't seeing more Commander play?
Drop your sleeper picks in the comments!

August 31 💰💸 The Zeta Set?! Secret Lair x MSCHF Full Breakdown! Are These Packs Worth It?! 💸💰
Episode 438:
🎙️ This Week on the CommanderSmiths Podcast! 🎙️
🤯 Secret Lair just did WHAT?!
This week we're breaking down the brand new Secret Lair x MSCHF: The Zeta Set, coming September 2nd!
This isn't your normal Secret Lair drop...
🎴 We're getting RANDOMIZED BOOSTER PACKS!
The Zeta Set contains 121 reprinted Magic cards with wild MSCHF playtest-style treatments, and each pack contains 7 random cards — 3 commons, 2 uncommons, 1 rare or mythic rare, and 1 wildcard. Packs are $19.92 each, with purchases limited to 12 packs per customer.
And that's where things get REALLY interesting... 😈
💰 Is buying these packs actually worth it?
🎰 Is this Secret Lair basically gambling for Magic cards?
🔥 Which cards are the biggest hits?
💎 Which cards could become the chase cards?
🧠 How good is the set for Commander?
🎨 Are the MSCHF treatments actually something we want?
We'll be breaking down the entire Zeta Set, looking at the cards, the treatments, the value, and whether this bizarre new Secret Lair experiment is something we're buying into.
And with cards like Chrome Mox, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Sol Ring, Birds of Paradise, Land Tax, and more showing up in the set, there are some serious potential hits hiding in those packs.
💬 Would YOU roll the dice on The Zeta Set?
How many packs are you buying... if any? 👀

We'll go through the cards, artwork, value, and whether these new Hobbit-themed drops are worth picking up. Of course, we'll also be looking at our Break Point (BP) to see which drops might actually pay for themselves!
But that's not all...
We just had our Hobbit prerelease, so we're bringing you our first-hand experience with the new set! 🍃🔥
We'll talk about:
🧙‍♂️ Our Hobbit prerelease experience
🎴 What we opened and how our decks performed
🔥 Our favorite cards from the new set
😂 The biggest moments from the weekend
⚔️ Our IRL Commander games
😈 The ridiculous plays, wins, and disasters that happened at the table
And then we'll dive into...
🤫 The Hobbit: A Marvelous Mathoms Secret Lair Superdrop
💰 Is it worth buying?
🎨 Which drops have the best artwork?
📈 What's the Break Point?
👀 Which ones are we picking up?
💬 What did YOU think of the Hobbit prerelease? And which A Marvelous Mathoms Secret Lair are you most excited for?
