This weeks sermon is “Scattered and Telling,” and we will examine what the early church did when they couldn’t meet in a large group because of persecution and how God used persecution for the church to become focused on what God wanted them to be.

Our first sermon is “Scattered and Strong,” and we will examine what the early church did when they couldn’t meet in a large group because of persecution and how God used persecution for the church to become focused on what God wanted them to be.

God has always had a people who were His own.  And, He has had a purpose for those people throughout history.  Who are His people, and what is His purpose for them, and what should they be doing, and why should they be doing those things?  These are the basic questions of corporate faith the church has sought to answer for two thousand years and the children of Israel for two thousand years before that.  God founded a nation to bless all the nations of the earth, and He has been faithful from that first day until today.  Will we be faithful to Him?

In the last sermon of our sermon series, Overcoming, we are going to examine the question “How is it possible to lose a generation?”. As we have seen, Joseph was a hero to the Jewish people and to the Egyptians, but we find in the book of Exodus the people have forgotten him. How is that possible? How can people forget what God has done in previous generations? This Sunday the title of the message is  “Overcoming Losing A Generation” and we will look at what we need to do for future generations not to forget who God is and what He has done for us. Please pray for this message to change lives and hearts.
