The Governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Fintiri has pointed an accusing finger at Emefiele, regarding his decision to force policies that is unanimously targeted at the political class in the country. Recall that Godwin Emefiele had once nurtured the thought to become president which lead to his historic acquisition of the ridiculously priced APC presidential form, which he later forfeited after he was requested to resign his position as the CBN governor, if he must pursue the path of politics.

Regarding Fintiri's claim, lets also recall that after the introduction of the new naira note, Emefiele backed the new naira with a new Central Bank of Nigeria withdrawal limit, which have sparked outrage all over the country.
