  • #11 - Triggered
Just because someone is a traumatized individual doesn’t mean they are a defective partner, and I want to normalize partners coming to the table with varying levels of ability to deal with internal conflict and relational conflict. We don’t all live in our adult bodies 100% of the time, and rather than criticize and ostracize our partners for going to a place that, frankly, most of us go, some percentage of the time (at some point or another), we can solidify our connection to them, create safety, and help pull them into security so that in the near future they can show up more in their adult bodies as we have exemplified it is safe to breakdown.

  • #10 - Infidelity, Part 2
In this episode we explore infidelity a bit deeper and talk about the process of healing and what it requires if you choose to go down that path with your partner. We discuss some reasons why one may choose to go the healing route rather than breaking up, separating or divorcing and also about why cheating occurs so often in our society.

  • #9 - Narcissistic Personality Disorder
In this episode we discuss NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) and how NOT to classify your partner or previous partner in this category. We go through the DSM (Diagnostic Statistical Manual) to understand what NPD can look like. We also dip into BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). Overall, the purpose of this episode is to understand the difference between speculation and diagnosis - do’s and don’ts.

  • #8 - Gatekeeper of Sex
A couple things I left out here: my own definition around libido versus sex drive. So here it is. My own opinion of the difference between libido and sex drive is that libido is the internal arousal that you feel automatically whereas sex drive is the intentional and conscious decisions you make around wanting sex. Also, in the last portion of the episode, where we discuss the differences around men and women when it comes to sex, what I left out was that based on how society views men and permits men to be sexual, society warns women of the dangers of doing so and shames them. The result is often that women are not connected to our sexuality merely because we were never given the societal OK to do so.
Otherwise, this episode is about partners who have a higher or lower sexual desire than their other partner, and we have an absolutely fantastic discussion around options when you experience this in your partnership!

In this episode we discuss my TikTok follower comments and how that transpired into a whole conversation around the definition of gaslighting, how it shows up in relationships and how you can emotionally support a partner when their perspective isn’t aligning with your reality.

  • #4 - Finding a Therapist
We begin by having a dialog about how trauma affects our physical body and that there isn’t a way to quantify it. In this episode we put a heavy focus on what an individual or couple may be looking for when choosing a practitioner and why I do what I do in my own practice.

  • #2 - Feelings
Disclaimer: if you are feeling dark in a way that is causing you to want to hurt yourself, contact a professional immediately for care. Feeling your feelings this deeply should be done in a safe space with proper support.
