 Finding a practical way to love and serve the great City of Cape Town.

 Inviting someone to church or Alpha.

I wore that WWJD bracelet but it was not enough!  Let us all consider the reasons why we find joining God on his mission hard and ask the Spirit to empower us!

Mission is important because God has prepared good works for all of us.  (Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.")

Mission is important because love is the point of our apprenticeship.  (John 13:34-35: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”)

Do you consider any good things you've done as rubbish in light of knowing Jesus? The Apostle Paul reminds us of how we desperately need the righteousness of Jesus and the joy it is to gain Christ and be found in him. 

Presence, Formation and Mission do not happen in isolation but at the same time.  This week we look at the Mission that God has for us as we pray "In Sea Point, as it is in heaven".
