In 2 Corinthians 5:11-21 we see two big ideas: Christians are new creations, and ambassadors of reconciliation. This week we look at the second part of that. What does the Bible mean when it talks about reconciling? What are the traits of an ambassador and do we see evidence of them in our lives?

2 Corinthians 5:17 may be one of the most widely quoted verses for Christians "hey remember, you're a new creation!" But what does that mean? As we continue our series, we come to 2 Corinthians 5:11-21, where we find three truths about what it means to be a new creation in Christ.

What does the Scripture mean when it talks about the Holy Spirit sealing us for the day of redemption? The role of the Holy Spirit is often neglected in modern church doctrine, or it is misunderstood. Paul makes it clear that the Spirit does two important things in our lives as believers: He seals us, and He is the guarantee of our future inheritance.

As we continue through the book of 2nd Corinthians, Paul begins to explain the importance of having an eternal perspective. Pastor Sam goes into why this eternal perspective is still necessary for modern believers and what it means for our earthly roles.

We often overcomplicate things in life, and our Christian walk is frequently no different in that regard. So what simple truths do we find in 2 Corinthians 2:12-3:11 about our eternal identity and role?

In 2 Corinthians 2 we are reminded of a painful reality: we will hurt others and be hurt by others. So when this inevitably happens, what's our plan? How will we respond? Let's be honest, we frequently just want easy, immediate answers without having to think too hard. But that's not always going to be the case in life. In 2 Corinthians 1:12-23 we see 4 questions we can ask in any situation to help us know how to proceed.

As we begin our new series on 2 Corinthians, we see a word used 10 times in 4 verses: comfort. Clearly this is an important concept! But has our modern use of that word kept us from truly understanding what the Bible means when it says God comforts us and we're meant to comfort one another?

In Exodus, God says His name is Jealous. But in our language today, we don't necessarily think of that as a positive thing. So what does God mean by this name, what should that remind us, and how can that encourage us?
