Shadow work is a self-discovery process where you explore the hidden or “shadow” parts of your personality—those aspects of yourself you might not fully recognize, acknowledge, or accept.
The “shadow” refers to the traits, emotions, desires, or patterns that you’ve suppressed, ignored, or denied, often because they feel uncomfortable, unacceptable, or don’t align with how you want to see yourself. This is important because those “shadow” parts don’t disappear just because you ignore them. They often show up in ways you’re not aware of, like self-sabotage, unhealthy patterns, or conflicts in relationships. By doing shadow work, which EFT Tapping can be incredibly effective for, you get to know yourself more deeply, heal old wounds, and ultimately become more whole, self-aware, and compassionate. It’s not about “fixing” yourself—it’s about understanding and accepting all of who you are, even the messy or uncomfortable parts. Shadow work can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly freeing and transformative.
