It is easy to make our faith about us or what we hope to accomplish for God. Because of this, Paul focused on Jesus at the start of his letter. We must never stray from who Jesus is and the centrality of that in our lives.

The main question Habakkuk is asking God is one we ask of God, “You cannot tolerate wrong, but yet it seems like you are. Why? How is this okay?” This message helps us understand what God is doing when we disagree with His actions or perceive His inaction.

We often wonder where God is in our pain and disappointment. Does he care? Could he stop it? Did he cause it? Habakkuk shows us what God does in our pain and disappointment. He embraces us.

Malachi ends by looking towards the day of the Lord. We live every day in the hope that one day all wrongs will be righted, and that is where our hope for not only our year but also our lives resides.
