Sexuality is incredibly powerful in our lives. Almost every major regret someone carries around relates to their sexuality. Yet, our sexuality was created by God for specific purposes, and when we live within those purposes, we can flourish individually and as a couple.

We all long to be known, cared for, and loved. We will go to great lengths to have these needs met. Our desire for this is good and something all of us are born with, but along the way, our scars and stories send this desire into many broken places.

Living at peace with others instead of living offended. Jesus didn’t call us to be right, He called us to be loving. It’s easy to be offended. What’s hard is to look past the offense and love the person on the other side. You can choose to forgive the way God forgave your sins.

What do we really want in life? Often what we think we want is different than what we actually want, which is peace. God has given us His peace through His presence. Peace isn’t found in the absence of problems. Peace is found in the presence of God.

On the last night of his life, Jesus asks his father to do 3 things for his followers — protect us, sanctify us, and unite us. If we remember these prayers, we’ll also remember we are not alone, change is possible, and hope is bigger than division.
