Did you know that God wants us to have... fun?
"Fun" might not be the first word that comes to mind when you think about God, but, it's true -- fun is in his character! While the point of life isn't to have nonstop fun, God does want us to delight in our lives and our relationships. That's good news for us -- especially after a year that few of us would describe as "fun."

COMMUNITY Pastor Jason Ishmael continues our series: From This Day Forward.

What is my purpose?
It's the existential question we all ask. But, we can't really know our true purpose if we are spiritually sleep-walking through life... we must be awakened to it.

At the start of this New Year, we are asking God to awaken us so that we don’t drift through the coming year distracted and miss what he has for us.

As we enter into this New Year, God is inviting us to awaken to the people in front of us, whether that be the person in our home or the person we encounter in the grocery story or the person in the next office. Jesus calls us to have mercy on everyone we come across just as he has had mercy on us. He’s inviting us to a new way of being in the world. A way of life where we RECOGNIZE the needs of the people around us and RESPOND with compassion.

Lead Pastor Dave Ferguson begins our new series Awaken.

From the moment Jesus was born, a message was communicated that there is hope for everyone. We see an angel first appear to the shepherds (the poor and lowly), and then a star leading the wise men (wealthy scientists).

As the church, we are called to be dispensers of hope to all the world...hope for everyone! Who do you need to take the message of hope to? A neighbor? A co-worker? Someone you would never imagine following Jesus? How can you be a beacon of hope in a world of darkness? At work, at home? To the ostracized in your world? Hope is for everyone!

Community Pastor Jason Ishmael concludes the series Hope for Everyone.

Fear is an inescapable part of our human existence. From the small fears (forgetting someone's name, first-date jitters) to the big things (financial security, losing someone we love), we can't stop ourselves from feeling fearful from time to time. But we can put it in its proper place... we can root ourselves in the truth, that God is with us wherever we go, so we don't need to be afraid in any situation or circumstance.

Teaching Pastor Tammy Melchien continues the series Hope for Everyone.
