As we re-open our doors, we don’t believe God is calling us to simply forget the lessons of the past year and go back to church as usual. Instead, we believe the future of COMMUNITY is a Hybrid Model: incorporating the return of in-person worship, but also reaching out into our communities in new, powerful ways. Check out this special State of the Church message to hear about Community’s vision for the future.

When Jesus walked the earth, he faced temptation but never gave in to it. It’s not because he had some sort of superpower — it’s because he was completely grounded in his identity as God’s beloved. That’s good news for us, because it means we have the hope of overcoming temptation, too!

There are a couple views people have of Jesus, who walked the earth 2000 years ago:
- He was a human being - and ONLY a human being. A good teacher, and a good example to follow.
- He was the divine in human form - a SUPERHUMAN. Sure, he was physically a person, but did he *really* get what it's like to be a mere human being?
As Christ followers, we tend to think of him as the latter. And certainly, he was the divine even as he lived on earth. But we can't forget that he was also FULLY human. Fully divine, and fully human. He experienced the pains and struggles that all humans do.
And this has a couple of implications for us:
1. It means that his call to be his apprentices isn't some outlandish, impossible standard. He was fully human as he lived on earth and loved its people, and we have the ability to love just as he did.
2. It means Jesus gets us. He knows what we're going through. Every pain, hurt, frustration, and struggle we go through... our Lord understands.

Co-Founding Pastor Jon Ferguson begins our new series: The Jesus I Never Knew.
God sent Jesus to earth because he loved the world. Not just some of it -- the whole world. Because the entire world is his creation, we should all take seriously our call to love, serve, and bless the whole world. It's how we can become like Jesus.

In our daily walks of faith, we have to learn to love people in the church well -- to really SEE them, the way Jesus sees them.
This week we’ll be answering this question: How do we love each other well? When we get this right, we will all flourish.
COMMUNITY Pastor Ted Coniaris continues our series: REFRESH
Maybe during this past year you’ve gotten off-track as a follower of Jesus? Now is the perfect time to refresh! Commit to loving God.
Teaching Pastor Tammy Melchien continues our series: REFRESH
When's the last time you felt refreshed? For many of us, it was likely sometime before we ever heard the word "coronavirus."
So, a LONG time!
We miss refreshment, and we need refreshment. As individuals, and as a church, we are craving it.
So join us as we start our new series: REFRESH. Together, we'll ask God to hit the "refresh" button in our lives, revitalize our spiritual lives, bring a sense of calm into our inner worlds, and prepare us for a fresh start in all the areas where we feel exhausted, stifled, and stuck.
