Episode 531 of Concert Pipeline featuring Coyle Girelli as well as a review of The Coverups (Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day) show in Rodeo. We chat with Coyle about his new album “Out of This Town” which he made with the late Mac Davis, his collab with KT Tunstall, growing up in WEst Yorkshire and moving to New York, what he looks for in a collaboration, creating a world for his audience in theatre, and his favorite concert of all time. Episode 525 of Concert Pipeline featuring Dark Star Orchestra, in which we chat with keyboardist/vocalist Rob Borraco about the band’s upcoming two nights at Greek Theatre in Berkeley (7/31/26 and 8/1/26) to tribute Bob Weir, and celebrate Jerry Garcia’s birthday by recreating the Grateful Dead’s August 1, 1973 Roosevelt Stadium show in full.  We also talk through the importance of improvisation with the Grateful Dead’s music, emulating the music of Keith Godchaux and when he got to meet Keith, how he has noticed the audience changing over the decades of DSO, and how they are able to keep the music alive and evolving.
